The Virtual Innovation Competition 2024 (VIC24) is organized by the Digital Information Interest Group of Universiti Teknologi MARA Kelantan 2024. For the competition, 1345 projects and 6995 participants from 8 countries were submitted in 6 categories, namely:

1. Professionals
2. Tertiary education (science and technology)
3. Tertiary (social sciences)
4. Young scientists
5. Young scientists
6. Virtual 3MT

This online innovation competition aims to promote the exchange of creative and innovative ideas from different educational levels and age groups.

The competition runs from March 1 to May 31, 2024, followed by the evaluation phase from June 8 to 15, 2024.

The award ceremony took place virtually on June 25, 2024.

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) dan USAINS Holding Sdn. Bhd. telah bekerjasama dengan HRD Corp dalam menjayakan Minggu Latihan Kebangsaan (NTW) 2024. Tema pada tahun ini adalah “Inspiring Malaysian Workforce Through Lifelong Learning”. Seramai 4 orang pensyarah dari Pusat Pengajian Sains Komputer dilantik sebagai penyelaras dalam program ini. 

Program ini dianjurkan dengan kerjasama Kementerian Sumber Manusia dan rakan kerjasama lain. NTW 2024 adalah minggu acara dan aktiviti latihan di seluruh negara yang menghimpunkan organisasi serta individu daripada pelbagai latar belakang dan industri untuk mengalami peluang pembelajaran dan pembangunan yang meluas. Program latihan merangkumi pelbagai topik dan bidang kemahiran merentasi lima (5) tumpuan; Kemahiran Hidup, Kemahiran Masa Depan, Kemahiran Kewangan, Kreativiti & Inovasi dan Pembangunan Mampan.

USM PULAU PINANG, 19 JUN 2024 - Universiti Sains Malaysia melalui Pusat Pengajian Sains Komputer telah menerima 20 unit peralatan komputer berkeupayaan tinggi khususnya untuk pembangunan aplikasi yang dipacu Kecerdasan Buatan atau AI daripada Intel Microelectronics.Selama lebih tiga dekad, hubungan antara Pusat Pengajian Sains Komputer USM dan Intel telah menjadi contoh yang cemerlang dalam kerjasama strategik akademia-industri yang berjaya dan berterusan.Melalui sumbangan ini telah menjadi bukti komitmen Intel untuk terus memajukan pengajaran dan pembelajaran serta penyelidikan di Pusat Pengajian Sains Komputer.

The Dean’s List Awards Ceremony has been held on 29 January 2024, in the DKG31, School of Computer Science, where the tireless efforts and exceptional academic accomplishments of the awardees were celebrated and acknowledged.

A total of 248 recipients, comprising 12 postgraduates and 236 undergraduates, were honored with the Dean's List Award by the esteemed Dean of the School of Computer Sciences, Professor Dato' Dr. Bahari Belaton. Notably, the Top 10 performers from each academic year (Year 1 to Year 4) were also recognized with extra tokens, underscoring their outstanding achievements. 

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to five alumni of CS USM for their special contribution in sponsoring a 360 Video Booth, adding a modern and memorable touch to the event.

Congratulations once again to all the recipients of the Dean’s List Awards for Semester 2, Academic Session 2022/2023. Your hard work and achievements are commendable. Keep up the positive momentum on your academic journey! Well done, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
